How we work together, the principles we hold, and what we expect of each other.

Our culture is a direct extension of the substrate we build: verifiable, opinionated, and biased toward people who would rather ship than meet.

Write things down

If a decision matters, it is written down — with the reasoning, not just the outcome. Memory lives in documents, not in heads, so the next person can pick up where you left off without a meeting.

Prove it, don’t assert it

We treat claims as cheap and evidence as the currency. A signed action, a replay, a measurement. “I think it works” is the start of the conversation, not the end.

Default to read-only

When something breaks, the instinct is to keep going. Ours is the opposite: stop writing, snapshot, and reason before acting. The same applies to how we disagree — slow down before you make it worse.

Small, disposable, trusted

Teams are small. Authority is delegated close to the work. We trust people to act inside clear policy boundaries, and we make those boundaries explicit rather than implied.

Boring is a feature

We are suspicious of clever. Most of the time the right answer is the well-understood one, executed consistently. We save the novelty for where it actually moves the substrate forward.
